“Crop Circles, UFOs, and Paranormal Phenomena” Presentation to Colorado MUFON, Feb 14th, 2026
Join sociologist and frontier-science researcher Dr. Simeon Hein for a deep exploration of how crop circles, UAP, and other anomalous electromagnetic phenomena may be linked through subtle but measurable physical effects. Drawing on decades of field investigations and data from sites in the U.K. and North America, Dr. Hein will discuss unusual magnetic signatures, radiation anomalies, and rapid plant and soil changes often recorded at genuine crop-circle formations—and how these may relate to plasma physics, coherent matter, and variable-permittivity environments seen around unidentified aerial phenomena. The presentation bridges rigorous observation with open-minded theory, offering new ways to think about how consciousness, the environment, and unknown energy systems might interact in these mysterious events.

Open Your Mind to the Extraordinary—Audio Book now available on Audible!
Dear Subscriber,
What happens when you blend firsthand accounts of crop circles, the science of resonance, and the mysteries of remote viewing—then set it all to the sound of original guitar music? I’m excited to announce the release of my new audiobook, Opening Minds: A Journey of Extraordinary Encounters, Crop Circles, and Resonance, now available and read to you in my own voice. This project has been a true labor of love, combining years of research with a musical backdrop to create an immersive listening experience.
Many of you have asked: What’s the real story behind crop circles and subtle energy sciences? Over the years, I’ve encountered countless witness reports, scientific anomalies, and moments that challenge our understanding of reality. In Opening Minds, I take you through these extraordinary encounters—including my own fieldwork in crop circles—and explore the deeper resonance that ties them to remote viewing and the subtle energies that shape our world.
What makes this audiobook unique?
- Author-narrated: Hear the stories, theories, and discoveries in my own words, as if we were having a personal conversation.
- Original guitar music: Each chapter is accompanied by my own guitar compositions, designed to enhance the atmosphere and deepen your engagement with the material.
- Exploration of resonance and consciousness: The book delves into how resonance underpins not just remote viewing, but also crop circle phenomena and subtle energy sciences—connecting the dots between seemingly unrelated mysteries.
- Scientific and experiential insights: Drawing from research at the Mount Baldy Institute, I share both the hard science and the lived experiences that have shaped our understanding of non-local information and the dynamic nature of consciousness.
If you’re ready to experience these subjects in a new way, I invite you to listen to Opening Minds: A Journey of Extraordinary Encounters and Resonance. The audiobook is also now available on Audible. Whether you’re a longtime explorer of the unexplained or just curious about the science behind crop circles and remote viewing, this audiobook is designed to expand your perspective—and perhaps even inspire your own journey into resonance and subtle energy.

As always, I welcome your thoughts and questions—have you had your own experiences with crop circles, resonance, or remote viewing? Your feedback helps shape the direction of our research and future projects at the Institute. For more articles and witness accounts, visit the New Crystal Mind blog.
best,
Simeon
PS. For those who haven’t explored our collection of Black Swan Ghosts witness videos, there’s always something new to discover in the world of the extraordinary.
Interview with Spaced Out Radio, 11/28/24
In this interview with Dave Scott, we talked about how I got involved with remote viewing and related psychic subjects like psychokinesis, UFO research, cryptids, Bigfoot, and crop circles.
Extraordinary Encounters, Crop Circles, and Resonance. Interview with Mike Vara.
Paranormal Discussion with host Matt Williams of the Secret Vault
In this interview, we talked about crop circles and cryptids. Matt introduced me to human circles back in 2000. In this candid interview, he also reveals previous crop circles he’s made at night by himself and his teams. We also talked about orbs and mysterious time-slips experienced by people around crop circles and Bigfoot.
Iron Oxide Glaze found in Cherhill 1993 Crop Circle

Researcher and videographer Peter R. Sorensen photographed some of the iron glazed rocks and wheat stalks/heads he found in the Cherhill 1993 crop circle. These images are from an email Peter sent me in 2005.
It’s important to note here that Peter, who initially believed Levengood’s ideas, changed his mind as to the origin of the iron glaze after meeting with known hoaxer Rob Irving, who claimed to have made the glaze in a science lab near Oxford. Peter handled Irving’s glaze samples, iron oxide powder allegedly mixed with water, and told me it looked identical to what he found on the rocks and plants in the circle.
And it’s important to remember this is the only formation ever (that I know about) where this iron glaze was found. I’ve never seen this glazed substance on any formations I examined up close, in the UK, Canada, or the US since I got involved in 1997. This doesn’t mean that plasma vortices aren’t the cause of some crop circles over the decades as Matsumoto suggested.
I’ve discussed some of these features of crop circles producing EM anomalies in my book Opening Minds: A Journey of Extraordinary Encounters, Crop Circles, and Resonance (2002). Also see my YouTube playlist with these anomalies on display: bit.ly/cropcircleweirdness. Direct link to my crop circle weirdness videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL99622B3ED5F8C859
This excellent book goes through history of crop circles going back hundreds of years all the way to the present, including eye witness accounts of ball lightning and UFOs creating the formations. The Secret History of Crop Circles by Terry Wilson
